





National Honor Society: The National Honor Society ia an honorary organization for senior high students who are outstanding in scholarship, service, and character. Students who have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average after 3 semesters of course work are eligible to apply for membership. Not to exceed four modified classes on a transcript. Eligible students will be notified and given applications fpr membership. Students who apply will be given consideration by the senior high faculty, who will evaluate them in areas of leadership, service, and character. Students who do not apply will not be considered. Any student receiving three negative responses from faculty members will not be granted membership but will be able to apply again if the G.P.A. warrants eligibilty. Sponsor for this club is Mrs. Powell.
Jets: The Junior Engineering Technical Society is a service organization that is to inspire students culturally and academically with a focus on the science disiplines in areas of engineering and related technical fields. Any high school student is eligible to join. JETS is designed to make a positive difference in student's lives. Mrs. Wiley is in charge of this group.
FCA: The purpose of Fellowship of Christian Athletes is "to present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships in the fellowship of their church." The South Haven FCA is open to junior high and senior high students. Ask Mrs. Byers if interested in FCA.
FFA: The FFA Organization is as organization that makes a possitive difference in the lives of students by developing potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education. The organization is involved in various activties, field trips, and projects related to agriculture. Mr. Stroman is in charge of this group.
Student Council: The Student Council ia a service organization. Membership for the following year is determined by election at the end of the second semester. Each class shall be represented by its president and an elected student representative. Each club and organization shall be represented by its president. The officers of Student Council will consist of president, vice-president, secretary, and treasure. The Student Council assists the Pep Club in sponsoring homecoming activties. Ask Mr. Greenlee if interested in running for office in the spring.
Pep Club: Pep Club is a service organization that seeks to promote school and community spirit in support of interschool competitive activities. Any student is eligible to join. The junior high and senior high each maintains a Pep Club to support their respective programs. The Pep Club sponsors buses to away games, organizes and supervises pep assemblies and cheering sections at games, and conducts service related projects promoting inter-shool activities. Ms. Amy Wilkey is the sponsor.
FCCLA: Family, Career, Community Leaders of America is open to all students interested in promoting a better understanding and knowledge od advances in homemaking. Members are involved in various activities, demonstrations, projects, and service the community, school, and home. Mrs. Blunk is the head of this club.
