This year's English 12 class decided to create a video of a scene from "Hamlet." After studying William Shakespeare's tragedy of the young prince from Denmark, the students decided to put their acting skills to the task and perform a scene from the play for video. This is a quite extensive project even though it is just one scene from the play. The class decided to perform the famous Act V, Scene 2 where Hamlet and Laertes duel and nearly everyone dies. Laertes dies, the queen dies, the king dies, and even Hamlet dies. Blood, blood, blood. The scene also involves some carefully choreographed sword fighting so the students won't get hurt.

Hamlet (Kyle White) and Laertes (Patrick Curl) have spent hours working out the details of the sword fight. When all is said and done, the video will be edited with sound effects and music. If all goes well, it will appear on YouTube.
