On Feb. 28, 2026, from 6-8pm, the South Haven FCCLA club had put together a dance for any Daddy-Daughter duo from PRE-K to the Fifth grade. The theme of this year’s Daddy-Daughter Dance was inspired by the musical, “Wicked.” Everyone who came had the opportunity to play games and dance!
FCCLA club president, Avery Strickland, the one behind all the ideas and set up, had thought that the dance was a huge success. She also thought that it was super fun to put together and chaperone. “I had tons of fun, especially since my little cousins were there. We danced a lot.”
Fourth grader Alexa Betzen, had attended the dance with her little sister, Addison Betzen, and her father. She stated that, “I liked the ‘Wicked’ theme because of the Good Witch and I also really liked dancing with my sister and my cousin Avery.” When asked about the activities they did, Betzen said that, “The jelly bean guessing game was my favorite because you have to really think about it.”
